Senator John Kennedy was astounded by the FBI’s complete lack of interest in pursuing the clients of Jeffrey Epstein.

Kennedy brought up the late Epstein and his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently incarcerated. “We know that Jeffrey Epstein, who is now deceased, and Ms. Maxwell, his associate who’s in prison, were engaged in a conspiracy of sex trafficking with minors. So were others. It’s been widely reported. What's the FBI doing to investigate the other people involved in Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking rings?” Sen. Kenedy asked.

Director Wray replied that he’s “not sure” he could confirm any specific individual.

“He videotaped sex acts with prominent people...do you have those tapes?” Kennedy followed up. “Here a suit was filed yesterday against one of those prominent people by one of the young women sex trafficked, allegedly said he was part of the ring...I just want to know if these prominent people are above the law?”

Wray said that the Bureau devoted significant resources to the investigation, but claimed that he, the head of the FBI, didn’t know if he was allowed to say whether or not it was still ongoing.

Kennedy reminded him about reports of Epstein recording clients with minors as lists of well-known figures associated with the financier were released earlier this year.
