NEW: 40% of Americans believe Trump was talking about need for political violence with ‘bloodbath’ comment: Rasmussen Reports poll

A new poll has revealed that 40 percent of US voters believe Trump's "bloodbath" comments at a recent rally were related to "widespread political violence by his supporters if he did not win the election," while a majority of Americans believe the media is "the enemy of the people," coming after the Trump "bloodbath hoax" was spread by liberal outlets as well as the Biden campaign.

During a weekend speech in Ohio, Trump spoke on the American automobile industry and the economic disaster that could occur if he’s not elected. Liberal outlets and pundits distorted his comments and took the line out of context, saying that it was a threat against the nation. 

The poll, conducted by Rasmussen Reports, found that 60 percent of US likely voters agreed with the statement that the media is "truly the enemy of the people." This is up one point from May, in which 59 percent of US likely voters agreed with the statement.
