MSNBC pulls ‘Morning Joe’ to avoid ‘inappropriate comments’ after Trump shooting: report

MSNBC pulled Morning Joe from the air for their regularly scheduled Monday morning broadcast over reported fears that liberal pundits and guest would have made "inappropriate comments" after the attempted assassination attempt on Donald Trump on Saturday. This follows a weekend in which leftists made incredibly innappropriate comments online over the weekend, including making the hashtag "how do you miss" trend on X.

A person familiar with the situation told the CNN that MSNBC cancelled the Monday morning broadcast "to avoid a scenario in which one of the show’s stable of two dozen-plus guests might make an inappropriate comment on live television that could be used to assail the program and network as a whole" after the attempt on Trump's life on Saturday. The hosts of the program are die-hard Democrats and Biden voters, if their on-air commentary is to be believed.

"Given the gravity and complexity of this unfolding story, NBC News, NBC News NOW and MSNBC have remained in rolling breaking news coverage since Saturday evening," MSNBC told CNN in a statement. “As we continue to cover this story into the week, the networks will continue to cross simulcast, alternating between NBC News, NBC News NOW and ‘MSNBC Reports,’ so there is one news feed covering this developing situation," a spokesman said.
