Laid-off pipeline worker goes after Biden for skyrocketing gas prices: ‘Everything that Biden’s touched or done — it’s a failure’

Biden raised many eyebrows in the early days of his administration after he stopped federal oil and gas leases and canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline. On the first day of Biden's presidency, he signed an executive order suspending work on the pipeline, ripping jobs away from more than 11,000 Americans.

What are the details?

During an interview on "Fox & Friends First," Allen said that the nation's gas prices and fuel charges are quickly skyrocketing out of control.

"I'm not surprised at all," he said of rising energy costs, "because everything Biden's touched or done — it's a failure. ... Ain't nothing but a total failure. We went from 'America First' to America last."

Allen then pivoted to former President Donald Trump and suggested that if the 45th president were in office, the country wouldn't be in dire straits with rising fuel costs. “Trump had it going on," Allen insisted. “The thing about it is that we've got all these high prices of oil and gas, we've got drilling rigs stacked, we've got roustabout crews ready to go, we've got pipeline contractors with all of their equipment is stacked in the yards. And I can tell you right now, we can put America to work next week if we needed to."

During a Thursday town hall event, Biden said that he doesn't see any help on the horizon to quell the rising costs.

"I don't see anything that's going to happen in the meantime that's going to significantly reduce gas prices," he admitted. "A lot of Middle Eastern folks want to talk to me. I'm not sure I want to talk to them, but the point is, it's about gas production."
