Multiple dangerous tornadoes formed early Sunday morning in Oklahoma, causing significant damage around the state, including near Tinker Air Force Base, Harrah and other parts of the Oklahoma City metro area.
Another threat of severe weather began Sunday afternoon across the state. In the Oklahoma City area, some thunderstorms started early afternoon but weakened into the evening.
Much of southern-central Oklahoma was under a tornado watch until 8 p.m. Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Norman.
The NWS said damaging straight-line winds, tornadoes and large hail would be possible.
