On Wednesday, the Michigan Supreme Court rejected an appeal in the case of removing 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump from the state’s ballot through the 14th Amendment.
The court upheld a Michigan Court of Appeals ruling from earlier in the month, which rejected a similar appeal filed by watchdog group Free Speech For People on behalf of Michigan voters seeking to remove Trump from the ballot for the events of January 6, 2021, according to ABC News.
The ruling comes just over a week after Colorado's Supreme Court ruled that Trump is disqualified from being on the state's primary ballot in 2024. That case will likely move to the Supreme Court.
