This week’s White House Report Card finds President Joe Biden sitting pretty on Christmas Eve.

Not only did he get Congress to pass a waste-laden $1.7 trillion budget bill full of his agenda items, but he got some face time and a photo-op with hero Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who visited Washington to make his case for another $45 billion from taxpayers.

Adding to that, House Democrats went to bat for Biden’s side by releasing new documents aimed at punishing former President Donald Trump, who could become Biden’s 2024 challenger. The first instance involved Trump’s taxes, showing that the former president didn’t pay much to the IRS, and second, there was the report focusing on Jan. 6, 2021, that included criminal referrals to the Justice Department.

Nevertheless, some polling showed that Trump remains strong among Republicans and is a real threat to Biden’s second term.
